Durban – A shooting incident on Eastview Road in Greenwood Park, North of Durban, left one man dead and another injured.
The shooting incident occurred after noon on Friday, 19 December 2025.
“Around 12:30 on Friday afternoon, ALS Paramedics responded to a shooting incident,” said spokesperson Garrith Jamieson.
He said when ALS Paramedics arrived on the scene, the police were already in attendance and had cordoned off the area.
‘Paramedics were shown to two patients, one in a vehicle and another on the roadway,” said Jamieson.
“Paramedics assessed a male in a vehicle believed to be in his 30s who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
“Unfortunately, there was nothing paramedics could do for him, and he was declared deceased on the scene.”
The ALS Paramedics spokesperson said a second man, also believed to be in his 30s, was found on the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds.
“The man was in a critical condition and needed urgent medical care,” Jamieson said.
“He was placed on a mechanical ventilator on the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital under police guard for the urgent care that he required.”
Eastview Road was closed from Church Street to allow the police to comb the crime scene.
Jamieson said at this stage, events leading up to the shooting were unknown; however, police will be investigating further.
The identities of both men have not been released.
