Polokwane – Police have arrested the 40-year-old boyfriend of the woman whose body was discovered inside a pit toilet at Ha-Lambani Mahagala village in the Vhembe District, Limpopo.
After the body of the 40-year-old woman, covered with a blanket, was discovered at about 11:40 on Sunday, 19 July 2026, inside a pit toilet at her home, police urged the boyfriend to report to the nearest police station.
The boyfriend – identified by police as Ramuthogi Foster – was not found at his residence.
Instead of reporting to the police, Foster went into hiding.
“The suspect was arrested on Friday, 24 July 2026, after he was found hiding at Ha-Lambani Vhufumba village following an intensive police search,” said police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba.
The arrested suspect is expected to appear before the Thohoyandou Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 27 July 2026, on a charge of murder.
