Pretoria – The new Tshwane Mayor Dr. Nasiphi Moya has announced a “diverse and politically sensitive” Mayoral Committee that she said was “well-equipped” to lead the capital city forward.
Announcing her team on Sunday, (13 October 2024), Dr. Moya said: “It is with great honour that I now announce the members of the Mayoral Committee who will work alongside me in building a prosperous city”.
The Mayoral Committee includes:
- Community and Social Development Services Cllr Palesa Modise (ANC)
- Economic Development and Spatial Planning Cllr Sarah Mabotsa (GOOD)
- Environment and Agriculture Management Cllr Obakeng Ramabodu (EFF)
- Finance: Cllr Eugene Modise (ANC)
- Health: Cllr Tshegofatso Mashabela (EFF)
- Corporate and Shared Services: Cllr Kholofelo Morodi (ActionSA)
- Housing and Human Settlements: Cllr Aaron Maluleka (ANC)
- Roads and Transport: Cllr Tlangi Mogale (ANC)
- Utility Services: Cllr Frans Boshielo (ANC)
- Community Safety: Alderman Coetzee (ActionSA)
The mayor announced her Mayoral Committee several days after her election.

“We thank the leadership of political parties for putting their best forward,” said Dr. Moya.
“Colleagues, we have made a promise that we will serve all the residents of Tshwane. May we fulfill this commitment to serve all residents equally.
“Fellow residents of Tshwane, this the a diverse and politically sensitive Mayoral Committee, and I am confident that it is well-equipped to lead our city forward.
“In the coming days, we will hold our first official meeting, where we will develop a collective plan of action to fix our city, driven by the belief that our residents deserve better.”
Earlier, Mayor Dr. Mayo remembered former Minister Tito Mboweni who passed away Saturday night.
“I would like to send my condolences to the family of former Reserve Bank Governor Mr. Tito Mboweni,” the mayor said.
