Durban – A middle-aged man has been shot dead along Chris Hani Road in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
Emer-G-Med said paramedics responded to the scene of a shooting in the Briardene area north of Durban on Monday at about 16:00.
“At approximately 16:00 Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a shooting incident on Chris Hani Road in the Briardene area north of Durban,” Emer-G-Med said.
“On arrival on the scene, a male aged in his fifties was found to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead on arrival of paramedics.
“Reports from the scene are that the man was shot in an alleged armed robbery incident.”
The South African Police Service officers were in attendance.
The dead man has not yet been named and no arrests have been made.
